About le Mouton Carré
Le Mouton Carré Theater Company began in 2008 and was founded and directed by Bénédicte Gougeon. The company has worked alongside regular or occasional artists and technicians whose artistic sense and passion fuses into Le Mouton Carré’s universe and elevates it. The work of the company is built on the interaction between theatrical aesthetics and visual art work. In this way, the set is always considered an element of the play.
Oriented towards young people, Le Mouton Carré aspires to explore the diversity of this audience. And because a theater that is intended for children must also resonate with adults and challenge them, we try, with our produc3ons, to touch the “big people” too. Recognizing our shows must convey sense and emotion, we take care to ensure that our creations evoke reflection. Therefore, each artistic creation echoes a new pedagogical proposition, guiding young spectators and immersing them in the universe of theater.
