My Silly Yum!

Jot & Tittle (Canada)

When Maminka and Button escape the city to hunt for mushrooms, they stumble into a woodsy world full of soily surprises and friendly fungi!

Jot & Tittle, who brought you Eep and Coo and the Island that Flew, presents My Silly Yum! a curious story about making connections in unexpected places.

My Silly Yum! is a unique table-top puppetry show about mushroom-hunting in a fast-paced world.

This original, hand-made show by the Jot & Tittle Puppetry Collective invites its audience into the soily, slippery world of mushrooms where we can feel our roots expand and play below the surface. Jot & Tittle hopes to excite young people about their own heritage and open their minds to the inseparable connections between us and our planet.

About Jot & Tittle

Petrov and Montagnese co-founded Jot & Tittle Puppetry Collective. They are both from Ontario, and graduates of McGill University (Drama and Theatre). They work with puppetry, among other forms of theatre, in Montreal and Toronto. Jot and Tittle’s goal is to offer their audiences thoughtful, engaging and whimsical stories that inspire and awaken the imagination. With their first show for young audiences, Eep and Coo and the Island that Flew (Toronto FringeKids! 2015), the Jot & Tittle Puppetry Collective engaged with the issue of environmental responsibility and the challenge of communication across differences. They hope their stories can open new pathways of discussion among families and communities to take responsibility for each other and the Earth we all share. They especially hope the performances will offer to family audiences an inclusive environment that nurtures and encourages young voices to join in these discussions!
