Set in an island world of sea breeze, rolling waves, and rollicking sea shanties, two characters meet and play together through music, song, and joyful painting! This is a beautiful production that will embrace young children with music, rich design, and gentle, mischievous play through art.
The work proposes to bring the visual arts to the stage. In a visual poem that borders on performance, it’s a small praise for JOY! Yes, yes, joy!
Echoing crest is a multidisciplinary and bold work, which is the result of a fruitful collaboration between choreographer Emmanuelle Calvé, Théâtre Motus and Les Chemins errants.

About Les Chemins errants & Théâtre Motus
Les Chemins errants has given itself the mandate to provoke, in all its forms, encounters between the living arts and children, particularly with the very young. Although theater is our language of choice, we do not hesitate to draw on several art forms to enrich and nuance our approach.
We have deliberately chosen to address the young public with a passion marked by tenderness and poetry. This audience stimulates us, questions us, confronts us and constantly challenges us. Above all, it offers us a vast field of possibilities conducive to research and experimentation.
We firmly believe that frequent and generous contact with living art puts us in touch with BEAUTY, the SACRED and THINKING. We love to meet people, to weave links, to share our sensibilities, to vibrate together, to explore territories, to knit our stories, to immerse ourselves in communities. And we delight in deeply human, stimulating and moving encounters with artists from multiple horizons. Each of our creations is the result of fruitful artistic collaborations that nourish and enrich our journey. Creating allows us to connect.
We favour a multidisciplinary theater based on sensoriality and poetry, both visual and sound. Our shows are intended for theaters, while our small forms travel to communities, living environments and off-site contexts. Since 2013, we have produced four shows, six short forms, an exhibition and several artistic mediation projects, which total more than 500 performances in Quebec, Canada and internationally. We have also developed a training and awareness-raising program on art for young children, aimed at artists and early childhood workers.
