The incomparable Emmanuelle Lizére returns with a new work, inspired by the research and writing of Daniel Stern documenting the parent/infant relationship built through play, listening and synchronicity. A dialogue between dance, music, and electronic sound that explores the sensory perception of the toddler in their encounter with the world and the people around them.
She imagines the infant’s experience of her show this way: “A ball of light dances and attracts me. I want to catch it, to contemplate it, to hold it at a distance or to merge. A multitude of sensations germinate in me. A string vibrates, another tinkles in resonance. I am enveloped in an ocean of movements, textiles, fluffy balls and sinuous cords. Each one seems to emerge from an imaginary world where all dreams are possible.”
Performers: Alexandra Caron (dance) and Emmanuelle Lizere (Music)
About Emmanuelle Lizère -Tigouli
Tigouli is an organization whose artistic project is a result of a musical approach that has been carried out with children for the past twenty years. It is based on non-verbal communication, taking into account the sound and music in its entirety, without boundaries between the two and is presented as a sensory awakening. It is proposed to the children to discover, explore and experiment the various components of music, with the aim of developing or bringing out their creative potential.
