I Am Baba
I AM BABA is a magical adventure comprised of gorgeous live harmony singing and playful objects – jellyfish-like scarves dance and tiny lights fly in this intimate immersive performance which happens inside a specially designed tent that holds just 6 babies – each with their adult guest.
Hello babies.
Here I am. There is a light in my heart and a song in my mouth for you.
Here comes that light to play with you on gossamer wings.
Here are my curious hands coming to meet you.
Here is my face looking at you. Here is my breath breathing with you.
Here are you
Here is my light and my breath dancing together.
We all breathe as one.
A magical adventure of song, light, textures, and connection for babies 0 – 12 months. Three performers fill the circle with complex harmonies and movement to connect with 6 babies at a time. Anna Newell, a leader in the creation and development of theatre for the very young, shares this important show that has toured internationally and inspired a movement of “baby theatre” makers.
