“Making my first show for babies was a revelation – a humbling, delightful, and energizing process. I witnessed the tremendous impact of this work on babies, their caregivers, families, and whole communities – and simultaneously experienced my own sense of childlike wonder in artistic creation get reinvigorated. Having now been exposed to (and blown away by) world-class international artists who are thought leaders in this field, I am thrilled to partner with Canada’s foremost thought leader in performance for early years – the wizardess Lynda Hill – and to be supporting WeeFestival’s amazing work. The WeeFestival is built on the idea that our youngest citizens – and indeed, all people – deserve to participate in culture in a way that honours them, and I am so inspired by the productions the Festival is producing, as well as the conversations it is starting among artists and scholars.”
