Knock! (South Africa)
Created for children 2-5 years by Indigenous South African company Magnet Theatre. Knock! has young audiences singing along with performers as they explore the creative possibilities of forest wood—asking what it can do and what we can do with it. Strange animals and stories magically come to life with the help of the imaginative storytelling and animation by the ensemble. Presented in association with the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM).

Cut Outs/Ritagli/Découpage (Italy)
For 2-5 yrs
A unique meeting of visual arts and performance from Italy’s Piccoli Principi, inspired by the paper cutouts of Hans Christian Anderson and the story of the Steadfast Tin Soldier. Presented in partnership with The Theatre Centre with the additional support from The Istituto Italiano di Cultura.

Ssst! Secrets of a White Rabbit (Germany)
For 2-5 yrs
Enthralling from start to finish, Germany’s florschütz & döhnert, introduce little ones to a raggedy white rabbit with a love of adventure and a knack for disappearing. This “poetic circus” is filled with delightful objects, live music, and lots of giggles.  Co-Presented with The Goethe Institut-Toronto.

Mokofina (France)
for 9 months- 5 years
A transformative musical and cultural experience from LagunArte of Basque Country in France. Vocal artist and musician Kristoff Hiriart performs this delicate, yet powerful concert for children. Presented with the support of our French Language Programming partner Théâtre français de Toronto.

Scoop! (South Africa)
for infants & caregivers
South Africa’s first Baby Theatre created by Magnet Theatre welcomes 8 infants and their caregiver into a soothing white tent filled with sounds, songs, lights and textures. Inspired by simple “kitchen play” games and song, babies are taken on an enchanting journey crafted to delight, surprise and stimulate.

Baking Time (Vancouver)
for 2 years +
Chef’s Bun and Bap take children on a “flour-fueled thrill ride” as they try to contain chaos they’ve created in the kitchen. This acclaimed production from Presentation House and Oily Cart Theatre uses puppetry, song, and the smell of fresh bread baking in the oven to inspire the children and adults alike.

Tweet (Toronto)
for infants -3 yrs
Two little birds asleep in their nests awake and discover each other and a wondrous world around them. Together they hop, flit, swoop and fly to the sounds of music and nature.  A sensory-rich, interactive aerial arts and circus creation made especially for the very wee from Toronto-based artists Femmes du Feu, Lindsay Goodtimes and Holly Treddenick. Commissioned by Theatre Direct and The WeeFestival.


Flying Hearts (Toronto)
for 2+
A dance/theatre creation with live music performed within a sensory-rich environment. Join four friends as they travel through the lands of earth, air, water, and light. Developed by Theatre Direct Canada with Michelle Silagy Dance for young audiences, and with the needs, interests, sensitivities of children with developmental disabilities.

OGO (Quebec)
for 2-5 yrs
A journey of friendship and adventure through enchanting puppetry by Théâtre des Petites Âmes in co-production with the city of Mont-Tremblant, from Montreal, Quebec. Performances in French or English.

Mots de Jeu (Ottawa)
for 3-6 yrs
At the intersection of play, poetry, and storytelling, Vox Théâtre from Ottawa brings this work for children 3 years and older. Performances in French.

for  18 months – 5 yrs
At the end of a road, at the end of the village perhaps, or in the woods next door, there is a very small house nestled among the birches. It is the house of Annou, who has a heavy heart. Rosita arrives like a light yellow spring to brighten her little sister’s day with music, play, and little games. Performances in French or English.
